Maps for My Father, 2 of 7: “Newton Hunt/Las Cruces”

This is part of a series of maps of my late father, Newton Hunt. My dad was nearly blind, and read Braille.

He was born in 1940 and grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

…No, he was not in the cast of Blade Runner!

Maps for My Father, 1 of 7: “716th/Eleanor Hunt”

This is part of a series of maps of my late father, Newton Hunt. My dad was nearly blind, and read Braille.

This is based on a photo of my grandmother, Eleanor Hunt, at the 716th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion in Las Cruces, New Mexico.  I’m guessing this was the 1930s or 1940s.

Unfortunately, this one sold before I photographed the final product!  So here is Eleanor, in progress.
